All league members are required to participate in at least one committee of their choice. All committees will be expected to conduct monthly meetings, unless other arrangements are made with the Board.

Training/Rules/Regulations Committee:

  • Sets requirements for minimum skill levels in conjunction with WFTDA standards.
  • Is responsible for keeping abreast of any WFTDA changes as they are released and ensures that all skaters are aware of said changes
  • Evaluates skater skill level and recommends appropriate player positions and team membership.
  • Make sure all league members understand and follow WFTDA rules.
  • Answer any questions regarding rules/regulations
  • Coordinates with coach to develop appropriate training regimen for practices.
  • Keeps accurate records of skaters’ emergency contact information and any other paperwork pertaining to the safety of league members.
  • Is allowed to coordinate special practices or scrimmages with sister leagues with the verbal approval of the President and Head Coach.
  • Assists Communications Officer to handle any grievances or mediations between league members.
  • Creates fresh meat program, including intake schedule and content and ongoing fresh meat training to ensure positive recruitment and retention of league fresh meat.
  • Reports to vice president

Bout Coordination Committee:

  • Schedule bouts internally, and with sister leagues.
  • Secure necessary venues/facilities/permits for bouts.
  • Organize layout for track/benches for bouts.
  • Coordinate with volunteer committee for proper staffing.
  • Keep records of stats (win/loss) intra and inter league.
  • Keep records of points scored per player/team.
  • Keep bout attendance.
  • Secures all rental needs, i.e. bumpers, bleachers, etc.
  • Names head ref and works with volunteer committee to ensure proper support staffing for bout.
  • Creates bout budget and presents to Board
  • Creates contract for bout location and works with Randy/Rollerdrome on necessary budget items
  • Orders and keeps track of tickets and ticket sales
  • Meets with treasurers and Rolelrdrome post bout to tabulate actual profits
  • Reports to president

Sponsorship/Events/Fundraising Committee:

  • Recruit and retain sponsors
  • Main contact between league and sponsors
  • Draft proposals for all events and fundraisers and presents to Board.
  • Ensure that sponsors are notified prior to all events to ensure signed contracts are enforced
  • Ensure that all sponsor signage/banners are collected, hung, and returned in a timely fashion.
  • Update sponsorship packet as necessary to accommodate the league’s needs
  • Oversee all ad space sales for upcoming bout programs
  • Keep detailed records of all sponsorship agreements
  • Coordinate with finance on all sponsorship funds
  • Schedule and oversee events and fundraisers
  • Develop and execute fundraisers and events
  • Reports to Secretary

Merchandise/Creative Committee:

  • Design and oversee production of all promotional materials
  • Coordinate with events committee for all event flyers and posters
  • Develop and order merchandise
  • Assist in designing league and team logos
  • Coordinate and oversee sales of merchandise at bouts and events
  • Reports to president

Finance Committee:

  • Develop and maintain budget
  • Oversee all funds, income and dues
  • Work with sponsorship committee on monetary issues
  • Assist treasurers with books and financial reports
  • Present monthly financial report to Board members
  • Reports to treasurers

Volunteer Coordination Committee:

  • eeps roster of all interested volunteers
  • Contacts/schedules volunteers for all bouts, events, and fundraisers
  • Recruit volunteers, including but not limited to, referees, merchandise handlers, announcers and commentators, team attendants, security, set-up staff, medical personnel, ticket sales
  • Reports to communications officer
